Huffington Post Says Deniers Should Support Green Energy - Why???

Huffington Post's Heather Taylor-Meisle thinks that deniers should support " Green" energy because it will create "millions of green jobs"  . The small problem is that solar and wind energy is hugely expensive and is fundamentally useless because it does not produce one kilowatt of " dispatchable energy' for a power grid.
It is a nuisance  for the power grid operator because even a small amount of erratic power causes system instability. Any power system engineer can tell you the true costs of these green fantasies. So what we are being told is that we should pay billions for intermittent green power that may or not be there when we need it, is very expensive , very ugly , and will not replace a single  base load power station so that Huffington Post readers can feel good about it. Of course using 'Green jobs" to create unwanted "green energy " is a bigger waste of taxpayer's money. As an Electrical Engineer myself I thought I would check the real world experience of the author giving us this advice.
Heather Taylor-Miesle is the Director of the NRDC Action Fund. I am sorry Ms Taylor-Meisle,  your kind of green energy is not getting my support .
