UK Windmills Sinking into the Sea - Hooray!

The TimesOnLine reports that :
Hundreds of offshore wind turbines could be suffering from a design flaw that makes them sink into the sea
When I first read this I thought the atheists were definitely wrong and there has to be a God if these ugly useless monstrosities were going to Davey Jones Locker.Alas, apparently with the aid of a meagre 50 million pounds they will be saved - for now , that is. I don't know why they bother - the things are useless anyway  and this will be the first of many problems caused by the extreme conditions.

The offshore wind industry has been at the heart of the UK economy’s shift to low carbon by Labour, but the cost of developing it, although it is heavily subsidised, is high and planning consents have proved difficult to obtain.

Experts say that although the UK coast is one of the windiest in the world, wind farms do not provide the sort of flexible power that Britain will need when its coal-fired and nuclear generators begin to close over the next decade.

Translated - "the wind generators are as useful as a chocolate teapot  but this is as much as I can say without losing my job".
