Global warming threatens Antarctica's penguins due to "Decreasing" Sea Ice

Ecologist Bill Fraser has detailed in his new book how global warming has decimated penguin population due to sea ice loss . This is a surprising conclusion as sea ice is at an all time high and has been increasing. Go figure!

  1. I guess after 3 years of writing dear old Bill did not have a position B and therefore published! There are still all those believers who will donate to Bill's coffers.
On a cooler note I do believe that NASA has pulled the Climate Change Guide off their Children's web page!

  2. The penguins are brooding on mainland Antarctica, so decreasing sea-ice make it easy to feed the offspring. Increasing sea-ice make it difficult, at the present time the pinguins have to walk up to 150/200 km to come to the nest.
